Pinwheel tart with cooked ham and cheese

  • 2 rolls of round puff pastry
  • 150g cooked ham
  • 200g Mozzarella
  • 2 spoonfuls milk
  • 1 egg
  • sesame seeds


Preheat oven to 180°C. Cut the Mozzarella in cubes. Spread the puff pastry in an oven dish lined with baking paper. Arrange the slices of cooked ham and Mozzarella, leaving a couple of centimetres free around the edge. Place the other disc of puff pastry and us a fork to seal the edges together. Put a glass in the centre and press lightly. With a sharp knife cut the ring around it into 14 equal segments.

Remove the glass and roll up each strip of pastry. Beat the egg with the milk and use the mixture to brush the surface of the tart. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and bake for about 25 minutes or until the tart is golden brown. Remove from oven and serve immediately.
