Simple, gooey, and irresistible: rolls with GranGusto Citterio Cooked Ham and scamorza are a quick yet flavorful idea, perfect for a tasty dinner or a warm appetizer. The gooey scamorza center pairs perfectly with the delicate flavor of the cooked ham, creating a dish that delights both adults and children.
4 slices of Citterio GranGusto Cooked Ham
4 scamorza sticks (about 30 g each)
1 tablespoon breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
Extra virgin olive oil to taste
Pepper to taste
Arrange the prosciutto slices on a cutting board. Place a stick of scamorza in the center of each, then roll them up into a roulade.
In a small bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, Parmesan, and a pinch of pepper (optional).
Coat each roulade in the mixture, pressing lightly so it sticks to the surface.
Arrange the roulades on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, drizzle with a little olive oil, and bake at 200°C (390°F) for 10–12 minutes, until golden and the scamorza begins to melt.
Alternatively, heat them in a nonstick pan with a little olive oil for 5–6 minutes, turning gently.
Serve hot, perhaps accompanied by a fresh salad or grilled vegetables
