This rustic bread toast is an explosion of flavors and textures. The creamy and enveloping burrata pairs perfectly with the crispy pancetta, while the fresh and delicate raw shrimp add a touch of the sea that balances the dish beautifully. Grated lemon zest and extra virgin olive oil complete the ensemble, adding freshness and aromatic notes. Easy and quick to prepare, it’s a perfect dish for a refined appetizer or a light yet flavorful dinner.

Ingredients:

8 slices of rustic bread
1 burrata
160 g diced pancetta
16 raw cleaned shrimp
1 untreated lemon
Extra virgin olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste

Preparation

Start by sautéing the diced pancetta in a pan over medium-high heat until it becomes golden and crispy. Once ready, transfer it to paper towels to remove any excess fat. In the same pan, toast the slices of rustic bread, making them crispy and golden on both sides.

Take two slices of toasted bread for each plate and place a generous portion of burrata on top. Add the crispy pancetta cubes, distributing them evenly. Then, place the cleaned raw shrimp on top of the burrata.

Drizzle everything with a bit of extra virgin olive oil, a sprinkle of black pepper, and the grated lemon zest to add freshness to the dish. If desired, add a pinch of salt. To finish, garnish with a few leaves of salad for a touch of color and freshness. Serve immediately and enjoy this gourmet toast.
